Ok so as the picture shows I have some fairly rusted up body mounts both of the front mounts are in this condition. I ground off the rust and there is still some decent steel in there its just kinda patchy with rust through. I want to try and just weld together a sort of frame around/onto it to support the body mount better. Do you think this is a reasonable solution? Any ideas as to where to weld pieces onto to make a frame around it? Thanks
Richard

I'd kiss it good bye and replace with new steel......YMMV

thats quite nasty. mine were almost that bad (the firewall mount on my fj40)and i just replaced the whole mount. i was able to bend up some new pieces out of 18 ga. at the sheet metal shop that i work at.

Yeah, i agree, that floors stuffed, there is no way that you are going to be able to weld that. get some 5mm steal and make a new floor.

Haha I know the floors gone man. Your looking through the hole I cut in in about 18 inches wide and 36-48 long. I was just trying to find out if it was practical to build around that old mount in some way.
