If you can't find a buddy with a cut-off wheel and a welder, check with Demello Off-road, I know he will do it reasonably...

They have welders with years of experience. Dont just let anybody cut and weld those mounts. expect to pay 200 bucks for a nice job. Remember....you get what you pay for.

Won't a 1.5" wheels spacer take care of this problem..instead of a chop??

Not necessarily. Much depends on the wheel/tire width.
Regardless, cost of 1.5" wheel spacers vs paying for a body mount chop would be my issue. You should be able to find someone to do it for $200. Best is to find someone you know who can weld and pay him in beer/food/cash. Its a relatively simple task, the above linked thread is clear on what needs to be done and gives excellent visuals to help get it done.
Contact Demello Offroad, Jason does a nice job, it would be worth the drive to visit his shop...
