Talkin' 'bout my generation.......
I sat in an orange El Camino listening to Steve Millers "Fly like and Eagle" over and over again when I was about 11. The car was my uncles. So was the state of the art 8 track.

I inhereted a '79 Lincoln Continental. 18ft long, White with Orange Leather (original). Had 28,000 miles on it when I got it. It had a pristine 8-track player in it and it worked beautifully.
The car caught fire on me not long after it was mine. Apparently it sat too long in the garage and the top of the gas tank had developed rust which in turn traveled through the fuel line and blew the line off under the hood..... something sparked... up in smoke...
The hardest part was watching my fuzzy steering wheel cover burn.

My 69 Chevelle had an 8 track in it and I loved it. Loved it when the track changed right in the middle of the song!
