In NorCal, there are a few Ace Hardware stores that have them -- but it's hit or miss. Not all carry them. I lucked out when another board member found some and was gracious enough to buy a couple for me. Each can came with a spout -- cost was under $40 per.PKP80 said:norcal,
You can't say that and not tell us what it was about.....
And Thanks to Biff, so far as my reseach goes cheapasdirt can are legit and they will ship to CA...I don't know how since the cans are not CA approved.
Expedition Exchange.wesintl said:Speaking of nato cans where can you get the "good" spout?
I'm not sure. Could be that they don't know about the legalities or don't care.Biff said:Hey Doug,
So why does Cheaper than dirt ship them to Cali? just curious

I recall seeing one site that sold Nato cans (don't recall which one) that specified that if they shipped to CA, the buyer had to "promise" to not carry fuel in themriiiiiiight....sure...I "promise"

The clamp-down ones are the Nato ones -- the "good ones". The screw top ones are the only ones that have been approved by CARB (California Air Resources Board - the smog guys) at this point.Aseif007 said:http://www.expeditionexchange.com/wedco/
SO these are the good ones? I like the clamp down style gas cans.
PKP80,
How close are you to Santa Monica?
No, what makes you think that?e9999 said:so does this mean you can't have gas in these things on the road in the PRK?
