Genell's Birthday was this week and she just wanted to get out of Dodge, someplace cool, and away from the crowds. "I know such a spot". I said, (remembered from an archery Elk hunt back in the 80's). It did not disappoint..Best thing is there was no cell service and the nearest human in my estimate, was 10 crow miles away.

The problem with fishing and the river access, the grade was much steeper than I remembered. Probably 1500' (now) vertical animal trail to get to the water (we only did this once), I blame it on getting skunked do to the monsoonal flow and the murky water, not age..

Schooled the wife on the proper wood to create the perfect exploding Fire Dragon.

Ate some wild raspberries..

And a friendly face on the way back to Alpine.

Think it's time CSC has a private section like chat. One that you need permission to view. Don't need to advertise that AZ is anything more than desert with only rocks and cactus. Otherwise finding spaces without anyone around is going to harder to. Does make me want to make a trip to West Clear Creek before Monsoonal rains not age ruins the fishing.

How is the new 4runner running? Flex plate all taken care of? Next time your heading thru Happy Jack let me know. Have the stove pulled out while I install new flooring. Mid fifties outside and mid sixties inside will need it before long. But can take time off to buy you lunch at Long Valley cafe.
