My Ps pump was rebuilt with a new seal kit after it cometely failed when I first got the truck 5 years and 80,000km ago This time however I am experiencing momentary loss of power after traveling straight down the highway for an hour or more and then trying to make my first turn. It has not acted up at all during city driving. Has anybody else experienced this and or know what might be causing it??

Fluid level is good and I do not hear any belt slippage. Not sure if or how air could get into the system?? Perhaps i should bleed the system with new fluid?

I don't think the steering box is the problem because it still turns manually with no clunks or bangs for those brief moments when I loose the power steering.

Yes mine was due to the fact it was -30*C (-22*F), which I failed to mention in the original post. It only did it on a couple of occasions while making several hour drives in extreme cold. I decided it was a non issue after people I know with new vehicles told me they have experienced the same thing. Lots of miles since then and no problems
