I have a 1987 BJ74 w 13BT. Alternator is only putting out 22 VDC. Installed a new external Voltage regulator but did not change output. Any suggestions or source for an alternator? It has been suggested to replace the stock alternator with one from an Isuzu NPR diesel truck but the wiring is a mystery on that mod. Any help would be appreciated.

Following, I am also having a charging issue still after replacing regulater. My local auto electric is having trouble figuring out what’s wrong.

Contact @FJ60Cam . He did wonders with rebuilding my 24v alternator. Only person I would trust with one of these

Thank you for your reply! I’ll contact him an see what he might charge. My auto electric shop determined my problem was between the the bridge an the diodes. I’ve got a couple part numbers for the parts he thinks i need. Fingers crosssd I can find those thru nippo Denso. I’ll contact @FJ60Cam and see if he’s got some hidden resources.

I drove almost 2 hours to Fredericksburg VA to a shop there.
24V parts were not an issue. Starter parts are still used in fork lifts. Not sure about alternator.

G&C Battery was the name I think.
