BJ73 tub question

Hi all.

Quick question.

I have a 1987 3B BJ73. Made in Japan.

(Ive owned a couple ove euro built vm powered bj73 previously)

The tub on my truck is in s*** order. Needs repairs. Considering a tub swap with obe off a euro vm powered BJ73.

Ive read somewhere that chassis mount points differ.

Anyone know if this is true. Is it an easy swap or is there much messing around?

Tubs are all made in Japan. So you are asking if you can swap a lhd 73 body with a rhd 73 body? Should be a direct swap except for the firewall since one is lhd and the other is rhd

I cant see why. These models are as standardised as they can make them to save money on the parts inventory. If its true it should be in the Body and Chassis manual. They have the dimensions for body to chassis mounts positions.

Some 73 series have different rear seat positions ( I think non JDM are back about a 100mm for more rear legroom) and some have the roll bar and different seat belt mounts.
