Do you have any trailer light wiring under the rear carpet?

I had a similar issue caused by some sketchy trailer light wiring under the rear carpet... After I cleaned that up all is well again! If mine ever causes me grief again I'm ditching it, a mechanical diesel doesn't need electronic BS so why bother with it....

Hi I know this might be super late...am new to this forum thing. Your left door is nor aligned with the front fender...I know you probably noticed it. But just pointing it out. Thanks. Am from Pakistan and have one BJ70 in the shop getting rebuilt.

Yes studded tires will be on next and yeah its a Canadian spec.

I would just be careful with how hard the rear tires brake... Studs will help tremendously, so much so you may want to be careful not to get rear ended on very slippery days...

However on trucks this short when the rear wheels lock up it can make for a scary situation if you need to slow down fast and you have some speed behind you... (These are things I'm sure you're well aware of now) Many north american domestic trucks came with antilock rear drums and regular front discs for years back in the early 90's... I personally found this to be an awesome combo... Gives you a bit more confidence when braking heavy in slippery conditions...

I'm glad she's back together man, good to see another CDM spec being looked after... For how few 70's were sold back in the mid 80's I like seeing how many are still out there... I never physically see any other then mine!

cheers

Its a 1985 with a 1986 body on her.
I recently Put some 31 in" Bfg mud terrain tires i get better acceleration but lower top speed because of 488 gear ratio.
I also upgraded the grill to the newer PZJ style and JDM factory aluminum running boards.
Is it normal to have the sound of a suberu sti coming out of my snorkel? Thats what I am wondering.

Looks great. Not sure about your snorkel question, I have a Flowmaster muffler on my truck and it tends to sound like a tractor for the most part, haha.
