Bj70 injector pump question

This question is for a friend of mine. He noticed a couple drips of diesel fuel on his driveway that seems to have come out of a tube coming from his injector pump.

Wondering if this is a sign the pump might need a rebuild? I reccomended a diesel fuel lube fuel additive I use.. to slow the wearing process..

I guess I'm just wondering what it means for him...

His truck is a 1986 Bj70 with... I think the factory 3b? Canadian truck.

Modern diesel softens the old rubber seals causing the leak if the truck has around 200.000 K might as well get the pump fully serviced but it wont be cheap so make sure your sitting down when you get the quote.
