hey guys,

i have a 85 BJ70 canadian spec that has been my bush buggy but i am stripping the drivetrain to possibly use for a FJ40 conversion. I am guessing there is a some sort of electronic device to send power to the edic servo? Where is it located? are there other parts that i should make sure i pillage?

not sure on a 70. But on the 60's it is under the rh side kick panel. If you did around in the sides you should find the relay box for the edic motor. I would also remove that part of the harness, marking which one gave power and ground.

Also some wires will go to the ignition. It will take some work to remove those wires, but worth it.

The edic also goes to a low oil pressure switch.
