bj70-75 headlight upgrade (1 Viewer)

looking for ressources / references for upgrading my front headlight on troopy 75.
Seen some round style LED upgrade on some 40-60 over the web but cannot find anything for 70 series 24Vdc

Truck-Lite LED’s may be an option.
(I had them on a 24V 70 Series)

** Wasn’t required in Southwest Georgia but I believe they make a “heated version” for colder climates.

Any 7” round works. You might have clearance issues with one side as most lights are a little long due to the built in cooling fins. Also you will have to figure out how to make the high beams work and our Toyota’s are negative switched so that will have to be dealt with.

The trucklite LEDs come in 24v. You can get military surplus ones as well in 24v. As Gun Runner mentioned, depending on the climate you might need a heater, LED does not melt snow and ice off the beam. I have a set of the OEM Toyota Koito H4 upgrades on my BJ73 and like them. They look stock, but upgrade the wiring harness to allow for more modern H4 bulbs.

you will get 2 brand new 7" koito light housings(H4) , 2 new 12v H4 bulbs ( get on amazon and order some hella 24v H4's), and a relay upgrade harness. all for less than 60$

its worth it.
