I’d been trying to find out information about people upgrading the exhaust on their BJ42 with the stock 3B diesel engine and really struggled to find anything online. There’s plenty about people with turbos. I was after two things: (1) a sound that better reflects the fact there’s 4 relatively large cylinders in that 3B engine (even if they don’t provide that much power); and (2) a slightly meatier looking exhaust to match the chunky mut terrains I’ve got on my BJ42. I took it to EMP Performance in St Albans for advice, and they’ve installed a beautiful stainless system. It looks stunning, but even better, sounds lovely! No idea about performance, but I didn’t really care about performance, my BJ42 is wonderfully slow and steady so I had no expectations. We stuck to the same dimensions, save that they used a smaller back box and after the back box coned out to about 2.5 inch diameter for the tail pipe which I think looks better than the rather small stock one.
Thought I would post on here in case others are interested.
