BJ 74 Tranny question

has anyone found a way to switch in and out the overdrive or locking torque converter with a switch? I want to be Abel to kick out the locking converter when I want to rev a little higher but not drop into d3. In d3 the converter never locks. Any ideas?.

Yup. Get an extreme duty valve body from Outback Importers in BC, or buy direct from Wholesale Automatic in Oz - this gives you TC lockup in 3rd and OD. Or, get an H55f. I'm contemplating the two myself right now, the A440 stinks.
