I agree, I think it is comfort level. I am pretty sure EPA and DOT are not inspecting these rigs as they come in, only Customs. I sweated bullets on my first import because it was an HJ with a chevy 350. It got tagged for "intensive inspection" as did the following 4 I imported. Pretty obvious that isn't the original motor, but went right through. When I picked it up, I found it didn't even have any VIN plates on it to show what year it was! Called the seller back and he posted them to me, so now it has them. I wouldn't worry about getting this rig imported, but rego might depend on your state's inspection requirements.

First..I invite the mods to poof all my posts in this thread as it is really not my intent to provide legal advice merely pointing some things out and obviously it is directly germain to joekatana's interests selling of his excellent 40.

Lastly, there are always many ways/options to bring in a vehicle...do the research and pick you comfort level.

Again, good luck with the sale, it is a vey sweet rig

Hi Ian

I couldn't have sayd it better:D

Btw if it doesn't get sold I will still drive it up to Tx:steer:

Hey man I saw the ad on your Patrol, are you realy sure you want to sell this?Try to announce it in Europe,we had lots of R160 Patrols but one like yours is super rare there.I bet you somebody wants this badly:cheers:

Thanks man....I was hoping the Patrol would stay in the USA since it is one of 950 original ragtops here. Once it ebay hits it is open season though....a guy in UAE has been buying lot's of USA Patrols on ebay lately, I know another guy in Europe looking for an old one too. I am I sure I want to sell it!!? Hell no! I need cash though for the engine in my 83.

GLWS if it is not sold already!

wow.....glad we had agreed I was buying it and sending you a deposit. a shame to part that out. a bigger shame to go back on a deal...

WHAT:o

You told me you were going to send a deposit more then a week ago!I told you many times that I needed to sell it urgently because I am moving out off the country. You also wanted a few halfcuts that you could sell of and I told you I had found one and that it was possible but everything had to be done quickly......no reply from your side to that.

If a week passes buy without anything happening then to me it's just another case of somebody being not realy seroius.

If you where serious about it then I owe you a apology, but if you moved faster this baby was yours!

I am sorry but I am not in a situation right now that I can wait untill the last day that I am in the country for anybody to buy my car

buyer beware

Oh dude grow up:rolleyes:

I have sold more then a 100 cars and motorbikes in my life so I have a little bit of experience in knowing when I have a serious buyer or someone that has dreams and has to much time on the WWW.

If you would have done what you said and actualy sended a deposit then the car was yours.Or even replyd with a simple yes or no that you wanted the 80 for the halfcut or not.

Anyway think about me whatever you want man it's definetly not my fault that you missed out on this.I gave you a chance I even went to inspect other cars for you and now you are calling me unreliable:hhmm::confused::o

And "it's a shame to part this out"if I would have brought the BJ to the US then I would have done the same thing for the same reason,to use some of the parts to build a LWB rig.

Go ahead and reply whatever you want this was my last response on this matter.

Regards Joeri

I received your bank info on Monday night, 3 days ago. You were going to see if the 80 was available last night then I was sending the deposit and also the cash for the 80. Forget about the 80, someone else can take a chance.
