I’m after a bit of advice regarding my 100 Series 1HDFTE.
I recently had an EGR blanking plate installed, and since then I’ve noticed a small amount of smoke on cold starts. I’m not sure if it’s related to the EGR blanking or just a coincidence, so I thought I’d ask for some expert opinions.
The LandCruiser is only driven on weekends, so it usually sits for around 5 days before I start it again. The smoke only appears on startup and disappears once I’ve driven it for a while and the engine reaches normal operating temperature.
Has anyone experienced something similar, or have any ideas on what could be causing it? Thanks in advance!
