Sometimes when I press the brake pedal there is resistance on the very start of its travel, and when I push beyond this resistance the brakes work normally and there is no further resistance during brake pedal application. As soon as I lift off the brake and reapply there is resistance only half of the time upon immediate reapplication.
When I rebuilt the Alternator I put in new vacuum pump blades, but this is beside the point because vacuum assistance has always been good.
The mastercylinder doesn't leek and it's never visually had manky fluid.
The only change I have made is put sanded down washers beside the pedal in between the clevis, because there is ordinarily a huge gap on both sides. - This was to rule out that a wonky lateral load upon the clevispin was not the cause of the binding. This did reduce the amount of times resistance is felt. The washer thickness is not too thick because the clevispin will rotate during pedal application.
Is partnumber 44606-12520 the only pushrod in the system, and is it this pushrod that attaches to the clevis on one end and directly acts on the mastercylinder at the other?
What could the cause be?
The only group of parts that I can find that could help this situation is 04443-35480.
