It's time to plan a suspension overhaul on my BJ74. Currently has some re-arched and AAL springs with the stock shocks. After 290,000km it's probably time...

For springs, OME seems to be the way to go both from quality and availability standpoints. Since all the talk seems to be that OME shocks are too short, I've been thinking about Bilstein 5100's. Does anyone have experience with this combination? Or, some suggestions that are available in Canada without too much hassle?

Use is mostly DD with some forest roads. Usually 100-200lbs in the rear and a winch on the front. Bumpers to come but not overly heavy. The springs hold all the weight I need but probably a bit rough riding and I'm getting soft in my old age.

Thanks

Go with CS004Rs in the back and CS007s in the front. If you want a bit more rear lift get the "A" spring over the "B" spring.

There are longer OME shocks available if you look in their catalogs.

Thanks for the advice John. I haven't had much luck finding shock lengths on the ARB catalogue but if there are suitable OME shocks that's probably easiest.

Cheers
