Ouch! Man - rubbing salt in the wound. Yes, I had all kinds of plans for this summer. The only dust and mud the Safari has seen these past two month was last weekend out at Dry Lake and a mud hole just out of town. :frown:

Anyways my shocks are pretty much shot as is my lift budget on the bloody deck. Will have to see about some long travel shocks that will accomidate standard springs and a 2" lift. It cann't wait until I can buy the springs. Its like driving aound in an old 1T Ford flatdeck with no load. Should have bought one of them special cushions I saw in Ecuador.

Thanks for the link, don't get to Pirate much anymore now that I've been working on the 80 and not the suzuki. I love bill's extremely technical approach to all things. Makes me think I should replace my Princess Auto 15000 lb tree strap with a larger name brand one.Still can't believe my rig weighs 62000lbs with just me and my normal stuff in it. Bet I'm 7k when I go camping. 20 miles a gallon doesn't sound that bad anymore. LOL:)
