Hey guys,

Looking for your thoughts on preferred bike racks for a 200 series? Would prefer to stay hitch-mounted, due to overall height on roof.

Right now I'm using a Yakima Doubledown which is 'ok', but the main issue is that even with it tilted back the lower gate of the 200 will hit it.

Are there any that you guys like that can get out of the way of the lower gate? Ideally, the more 'flush' the rack can fold when not in use the better as well.

North shore -4. Is the best rack I’ve ever owned. I’ve had yakama, Thule, 1up, kuat. Great on the truck and itself is <35 lbs and almost folds flat.

Thanks! I picked up the Saris MTR from REI during their Anniversary sale. I've been testing it out and so far it's good. I like the idea of the north shore, may have to look at it more too.

I also picked up the Rocky Mount Backstage and the Thule XT2 Pro.

Probably preferred the movement of the Rocky Mount the best, but removing from LX and limited to 2 bikes ruled it out. The Thule just stuck out to much and too much plastic.

Saris has been good so far, can be expanded. The hitch pin is horrible with LX, but looking at alternatives right now.

Have you taken North Shore off road? How sturdy in the hitch mount is it?

Edit: spent some time looking at these, Alta and Lolo racks- didn't realize NSR doesn't work with road bikes :-/
