Any pics? I have been considering this tire size. Thanks!

Here are BFG M/T's 255/85:

The 255/85/16 and 285/75/16 are usually the same diameter. The 255 is just narrower in width, which is why it was suggested for a spare. It would not hang down as low as the wider 285 tire in the stock spare location.

Completely incorrect!! When searching for my new tires, I looked at several different tires, in both 285 and 255. They ranged from 32.3" to 33.4", that's a full inch. As you can see in one of my shots, the 255 is 1.5" taller than the 285. You will need to check specs and/or measure each different tire size, by each different manufacturer to get an accurate and true diameter.

Hey, "80krazE"

Have you noticed much difference in the day to day driving w/ BFG M/T's tires compared to the smaller sized tires... ?

Do they have much road noise....?

305 70 R16 should not rub ever, are you going to keep the factory wheels? I ran 315 75 R16 on the stock wheels with no lift and barley ever rubbed (only minimal rubbing offroad) alot of rubbing issues can vary as much or more with wheel width and offset as with tire size!

Yes I am keeping the factory wheels.

With the 305/70/16's , spacers in the back are a good idea but I think I will go for the 285/75/16's and space out the front and rear with 1.25" spacers.
Thanks.

Four 305/70/16 Firestone Destination A/T's are being delivered by the Pony Express guy. Once they are on, spacer widths will be chosen for front and rear.

Hmm, Ofcourse it will blend with the blendotech 500!

Anyway, I like those 255/85's might get a set of those after done working on el Engine.
