Well I dont have the time to turbo my Bj42 and i hear of people putting 60 horsepower injectors in some cummins. Could you do the same to the 3b? Has anyone ever done it?

^ agreed.

Non turbo 3B can reach alarmingly high EGT's in stock form. Turbo is the only way to add more fuel...... and get more power.

Or propane injection.... but propane injection needs boost to regulate injection ratio which leads us right back to turbo charging.

Thanks for the input guys, looks like im going to start collecting parts for a turbo then

honestly doing the turbo isn't that time consuming... the most annoying part is installing a bung for the oil drain and tracking down the random fittings.

In my thread where I did mine I think I put most of the part #'s I got them all from lordco and used a volvo turbo.

Bung was from coast industrial (you could prob buy everything you need there but they're a bit pricy
Ebay turbo + adaptor flange
Turbo oil fittings lordco vibrant performance
Turbo water fittings = 2 threaded NPT to barb fittings
Turbo manifold I bought from Cam
I used my vac feed for oil since I have a electric vacuum pump but a T fitting shouldn't be so hard to source

Toshi38 you ran the water lines to your turbo I never read or seen anyone who has done this usually they pipe the oil and call it a day.
Where did you tap your water from the pump and where did you return it to? I know the pump has a plug facing that side of the engine and have thought of using that source.

I took from heater core lines before the on/off switch... seems to work pretty good. I defineatly don't have any issues with EGT's taking time to come down... they drop about as fast as the gauge moves even after long runs on the highway I"m at a few hundred in under a min. I think Cam also hooked his up. Theory I followed is the turbo was engineered for watercooling so I'd hook up the cooling. 2 Ts and a few min of time to hook up.
