So let's say some idiot (ie me) welds the u-joint on the oe shaft before he puts the anchor bearing on the shaft. Can the shaft be removed from the column and the bearing slid on from the steering wheel side? FSM looks likes there is a flared section of the shaft that may prevent this... Anyone know or have a solution other than cutting/rewelding the u-joint? NEVERMIND - ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION. BEARING IS ON, ALL IS GOOD. I'M A MORON.
