Big Bear Area Trails

A buddy and I would like to explore some trails in the Big Bear area tomorrow Sunday. Any recommendations? My rig is not equipped with lockers or sliders. Also, if anybody would like to join up that would be cool.

3N08 and Gold Mountain would be good for you. I ran 3N08 with my rig stock.

Thanks for the tip SocalFJ, I did some more research and found the info I was looking for. BTW, do you have a scanned trail map of the area you could email? that would be greatly appreciated...

The only map i have is a paper version. Check out the USFS website, they may have a .pdf version. Do a google search, they're probably is something out there.

socalFJ, I ran Gold Mountain as suggested, and for someone relatively new to this eh-sport? I was nervous thru a couple of spots...but went thru it with no problems. I really want to meet up with the group in the near future. I think that would really help my confidence on the trail...plus it would be nice to meet you guys in person.

Looking good dude. Some of that doesn't look like Gold Mtn for some reason? Did you go up any small ledges? Anyways, glad you made it and had fun time doing it. The rig looks great.

"Did you go up any small ledges?" Yes I did, I think this is where my buddy and I were to focused to get thru them to take pics. The only thing I wish I should have done was to drive up the talus slope towars the end of the trail....
