Big Bear area Sunday 7/13

I may be in on this. I'm heading up to a friends house in Rancho Cucamonga (sp?) on Saturday and staying the night. I was going to hit Bass Pro Shops Sunday on the way back home but can skip that if there is wheeling involved. I will let you know by Friday. If I'm in we can work out a meeting time/spot then. Any particular trails in mind? About two months ago I did a Cleghorn/Pilot Rock/Deep Creek/Dishpan run. That was an all day thing but would need to keep it shorter since I have to work the next day and would want to get back to San Diego by a decent hour. I'll let you know.....
 
Well i'm a solo rig on this day since my normal group seems to all be in Hawaii enjoying themselves... haha

I usually ride my dual sport bike up there but haven't wheeled many of the harder trails yet. So i'm trying to visualize the lines a 4wheel vehicle would take on Dish Pan or Gold Mountain to see which trail would be easier solo. i've done Cleghorn hard ways and that trail near silverwood lake 1N17x (not sure trail name) but with a group.

I haven't decided on any particular route. Was hoping to tag along with another group. But if no others are going... i'll probably hit up Gold Mountain and then just head over to Butler Peak. I've never seen that fire outlook

i'm coming from the OC so i'm open to either Silverwood or Big Bear area .

I really need to expand my offroading group... seems like as i get older more and more drop out of doing wheeling or motos... lol
 
Sorry, have to pass on this one, can't get it to work out.

FYI, I think Butler Peak is closed. May wanna check before you plan your route. I think it's been closed for years. I may be thinking of something else though.

I wheel up in those areas pretty often. I'll send you a PM the next time we go out.

Yeah i find conflicting info on butler. I'll be in the area anyways...might as well check if its open.
