Cooper Discoverer STT Tires

I researched alot of mud tires and found that the cooper mudders were not only aggressive looking and capible....but were less noisy on pavement. I got 33x12.5x17 and they are monsters. They also do not hum much on the hwy. tiredepot has them on the cheap. bout $208 per tire delivered. remember....if your running 33 or bigger.....you have to do the body mount chop.:wrench:

Yes. Good tires. I run 285/75r16 on my 09 FJC, no lift. There is no rubbing at all. A little noisy but not too bad. Not the best in snow and ice,(but what is?). Great in mud and off road. Lots of aggression. I enjoy them alot. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'm guessing no. Just looking at the amount of "dish" it has from the views provided, they look like the backspacing is pretty deep. Just dumb guess from the pics though.

I do know that a set of stock 80 series alloys with BFG KM2's in 315/75/16 do not fit (as I define fit meaning rub either the UCA, chopped body mount and/or front calipers) on my FJC...

I ordered a set for my BJ70, 33x10.5x15's & still waiting. Just out curiosity what PSI do you air down to for off road? And what PSI do you run them at highway?

Thanks

Do, those wheels fit without spacers?

Currently running 1" spacers and have been doing so since the truck was new. What I do not know is if these wheels fit without spacers. These are 16x7 4runner wheels and may fit as the TRD wheels for the FJC are 16" also. Next time I wrench on the truck, I will remove a spacer to find out if they fit. But will most likely stay with the spacers. Spacers is a 4wd topic that some people are passionately against, but I am fine with them. Wheel track is wider, which compensates for the suspension lift and the tire is just at the edge of the wheel arch, where I like it. Flexed the rear and the tire still stuffs the well with no rubbing.

I put the spare on the rear door this weekend and it fit with millimeters between the tire and bumper (ARB). I believe this tire size is THE absolute max you can go with OME suspension. They measure on the truck 34" tall.

There are very few wheels you can cross between solid axle and IFS rigs, but since these 3rd gen 4runner wheels are from a similar IFS rig, they may fit the FJC with no spacers. :hhmm:.

The "big" issue is the front calipers on the FJC. They are bigger than the back and they can cause the whole rubbing thing. I think the FJC brakes are bigger than the 4rnr but I couldn't say for sure...

Thanks, i'd be curious if the wheels cleared the calipers. I know some early Tundra model wheels would fit but im not sure on the 4 runner 16's.

Removed the spacer today and the wheels will not fit without them, so the spacers remain. I purchased these already mounted and balanced so I stayed with these wheels. I like these wheels because the paint code is REAL close to the factory silver on the FJC. I would still recommend this tire size, just go with the TRD wheels which fit without spacers. Even with 1" spacers on my truck, the tires still fit at the edge of the fender flare. Perfect for NH vehicle inspections.

Appreciate the info.
