Im putting a new set of 285/75/16 tires on my 97 Landcruiser. Mostly highway driving. Im not gonna use a lift kit or make any modifications. Im just wondering if anybody has any feedback on either of these tires. Im leaning toward the Rugged Trail T/A because i heard its a bit better on gas mileage and quiter....yet has a cool/aggressive tread look. Any opinions? Thanks!!!

I have a set of Rugged Terrain on my 2002 4Runner and have been very happy with them. Silent on the road and good in snow.

From what I have seen the Rugged Terrain is somewhere between an all-season tire and an all-terrain tire. The All-Terrain is the "standard" all-terrain tire that almost every all-terrain tire is compared to (it has been around the longest). If you need off road performance, the All-Terrain would probably be better, if not, then the Rugged Terrain would be better since it should help MPG a little and be a little quieter. Of course, the AT doesn't exactly roar down the road. The AT should provide (slightly) better winter and definitely better off road traction.
