Alright. Consider my interest peaked! And what with all the blackberries around the house, I'll definitely give it a go.
I'm not a big fan of gin though, may use a vodka or mild bourbon.
there's a blackberry whiskey out there called bird dog (iirc) that's pretty good.
I'll check back ~6 weeks.


Well my blackberry crop wasn't as large as I'd hoped and my strawberries were mostly bird food, so added some fridge fruit as well.
We'll see.

Did you make a full batch, or a partial? Looks like it needs more fruit, and you need to shake the #&%@ out of it, for several reasons - dissolve the sugar and help to bust open the berries. Curious, what is the yellow fruit shown it the jar?

I've added more raspberries since this pic. It's all dissolved now, I just liked the aesthetics of the pic. The yellow looking fruit is sliced granny smith apple. So as it stands, it has a mongrel concoction of blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, orange and apple slices in a locally made grain/whiskey.

I'll be happy to throw up more pics later.
