I know it’s been a long time since this post, how did you get on using 15w-40 semi Penrite oil?
I have the same beast, was using Castro magnatec but find it burns more oil.

15W40 Mobil Delvac, Shell Rimilula, Caltex Rotella etc, whatever your local truck place has on sale.

Aus truck doesn't have cat converters to worry about running a Heavy Duty engine oil.

Ive been using Penrite HPR30 20w/60 in my Cruiser for the last 26 years, 1st 4 years were under warranty so it had whatever the dealer was using

I run HPR10 in mine, and have done for most of it's life with zero issues. Latest oil lab analysis shows there is no premature wear in the motor either. If yours is consuming oil, you may go to a thicker viscocity, depending on how much it's using between changes, and how often you're changing.
