Best Adhesive for Towel Rod

What's the best adhesive to use to reinstall one end of the porcelain? towel rod holder in the bathroom that fell out of it's tiled area? It had some light brownish hard crap holding it that I scraped off. House is over 50 years old, can't say when it was originally installed. TIA for your help.

I've replaced them with some construction adhesive. You can get it from Lowes or Home Depot. Once you glue it on, take some tape to hold it in place for at least a day so it sets up good.

Liquid Nails works well for me. Don't get it on your hands, its not fun to get off.
