I'm looking through my copy of my fsm and I can't find were it says how to bench test the oil level sending unit.

I just completed a head job, and I did remove the oil level sensor and oil pan to have the pan steam cleaned and replace gaskets while everything was apart. My thing is I think I may have bumped it or did something while it was out to make it stop working.

For about three days after the job was done, I had no issues. Now after the 40 second delay when I crank it the light comes on.

Good oil Pressure and full of oil.

Seems like the sensor has gone bad, I'd just like to test it before I start throwing parts at it.

Thanks

I, too, would be interested in a bench test method for this sensor.
