I searched but couldn’t find anything on solutions for storage behind the 3rd row? Anyone have a link or seen this in the past?

I’d prefer something that takes up the space behind the seats but not to the top of the seat. Maybe half way up?

Thanks!

I too have am one of those that uses the third row and have been searching for something, to no avail.

I’ve contacted Dave with Trek Boxx about making me a custom drawer system for that small area.

I’ll keep you posted about how it goes and hopefully with some pics.

Won't it be a little odd if you have small drawers back there when the 3rd row is not in use? What if you want to put something bigger in the back and need the large flat surface? What's the intended use case, to store things full-time? Where do things like groceries go?

My drawers will be only 6”-7” tall and the width of the back. I just want them for snatch straps, shackles and misc odds and ends, that will always stay in the rig, but still easy to get access to. Plenty of room still for groceries etc

Maybe something not so permanent would help? Not sure how sturdy it needs to be for straps and shackles but I'd think something like a removable storage bin (hard plastic) that could be anchored with velcro to the carpet might work? If it is sized properly then it would essentially be wedged between the 3rd row seats and lower tailgate so it would move around much, if at all.

Just a thought.

Thx for the thought, I’ve looked far and wide for something like you suggested. Nothing with the dimensions I need, or too flimsy. It has to be sturdy, because I will have stuff on top, some times heavy stuff.

you first...never drive a GM product again. Garbage.

My boss offered my his 75K, loaded LT 14 for less than I paid for my 150K 09 LX. Not that I agree with what you are saying :)

Your boss is a smart man, right about the mileage and age you want to get rid of the GM 🆒
