It's not many days that SoCal looks so beautiful. Clear morning with snow capped mountains and a VERY low snow level. Clear view to Catalina as well.

Spectacular drive to work this morning! No camera in the car, so no pics. Sorry.

Driving to work I could see the western san gabriels looking rugged and beautiful. Yes, very low snow level. Hope this cold weather keeps up through Christmas so we can get a white christmas in Big Bear!

I dont know what days I'm going to be up there, but I'd love to go on a snow run if any of you are going to be heading up over christmas.

I don't know how you saw the top of Santiago from way down in the car. :flipoff2: It really was a beautiful morning though.

Snow level is supposed to be down to 3k tonight.

Comedian and metal worker extraordinaire too! Wow!!! :flipoff2: I had to wait until I was up on the 9th floor at my office before I could see the snow on Santiago Mo! LOL!!! :D

Live shot of the Saddleback towers... :bounce::bounce2:

I am very jealous of you all. It is freaking 71 degrees here today! I have no idea how far I would have to drive to see snow. Now y'all get out and enjoy it and take some more pics!

Check this out. My mom told me they closed all three routes up to Big Bear at one point Monday afternoon. She and three other residents were finally let through by the highway patrol. All three had 4wd and chains on. While trying to leave home on Tuesday morning she almost got their Dodge Cummins stuck because the snow was blowing into deep berms on the road.... sweet! All of this and they live on the far east end of the valley which is typically warmer than the more western parts.

I'm excited for more cold weather! Big Bear is supposed to get 4-8 inches in town today. Much more in higher elevations I'm sure.

Brad - a deep berm is referred to as a snow drift by those of us lucky enough to have grown up with snow. hehehe :flipoff2:

Hot off the press: Parents report over 2ft snow accumulation in the eastern valley, on the way to 3ft!

should be some good "drifts" out there tomorrow! ;)
