Welp, got halfway there and had to turn around due to some nasty front end grinding. Recent locker install/front axle rebuild 50 miles ago.
Probably no better place to get checked out than the meeting, but it got bad enough to turn around at Miramar.
I'll dig into it tomorrow. Until next time gentlemen.
 
That is highly unfortunate. Hope its an easy fix!

Any updates on this?
 
Tore down the knuckles and found no visible damage or anything that pointing to the grinding. Added some grease to the spindle bushings. Gave it a test drive, but little change. Greased the drive shafts, and verified phase and that helped significantly, but still some sound.
Believe the front shaft just needs to be rebuilt.

I’m swapping from slinky 75mm coils to 50mm and we’ll see if that has any effect.
 
Hi all - I'm new to the group here and interested in the local meeting at Mike's BBQ - only a mile from my house. Will the next one be on April 2?
My truck is a 190K mile '95 80 series with factory lockers (currently not working) an OME suspension and a few other mods from Slee (rock sliders, brake lines and such). Just replaced my upper rear hatch due to rust in the usual places. Also been chasing rooftop water leaks this rainy season that have resulted in lots of water on the driver and passenger floor boards. Rebuilding a new roof rack system from aluminum unistrut components as part of that debacle. Would love to meet others that have solved some of the same issues I've had with the truck.

Like @RET2 said see you on the 2nd. We usually meet up early for some beverage and lies and then then to the owners box for food and meeting. Meeting starts about 630 so hope to see you on the 2nd!!

Anyone what a free front stock 100 bumper? It's off a 2004 white so its the gray tone. If anyone wants it I'll bring it to the meeting tonight.
 
Howdy all. Hope to be the new guy in the group soon. In the process of a East to West Coast move and will be in the area next month. In the process of the move I sold my old FJ60 and Taco. Now I'm looking to settle into a 100 series. Feel free to PM me if your neighbor is selling his/her mall cruiser!
