Battery cables/ terminals

So I am working at this shop in Edmonton right now that has a nice hex crimper as well as 2/0 and 2 gauge cable that I can use. Since it is at my disposal I thought I may as well use it!

I presently have one marine style terminal on the drivers side battery, was thinking of putting one on the passenger side as well (to match).

Then I read about the military style terminals (is it just personal preference?).

Thinking of using the magnalugs over the plain copper ones.
Thoughts?
Which terminals? What gauge?

2/0 is a bit overkill, a high quality 2 gauge is a very nice cable. Like most things, not all things are created equal. If you have access to Type SC (LEX makes a nice cable) or American Mustang, you will have cable that will last a lifetime≥ This is cable we use for temporary power distribution, though these days we use mostly 4/0. 2 gauge is 600v, rated at 190A, more than adequate. This stuff is heavy duty cab tyre, resistant to most everything and submersible, this is the crap you see laying beside sidewalks during movie shoots

Yes I think you guys are right, the 2 gauge should be ok, I was working with it again today on a trailer and it seems more than beefy enough...
Think I will use the magna lugs with good shrink wrap and the mil spec battery terminals.

When I get it done I will post some pictures. Don't think it will be too soon though as the fingers get cold fast up here working outside.
