So I've been wanting a shop for ages. So the other weekend I cleaned out the barn with the intent of making some sort of shop.

Spent this weekend fixing a couple minor things on the truck (wipers, starter solinoid) and then shoveled 2 trailer loads of gravel into the barn to level it and took the little trailer down to the lumber store to start building things.

A few beers and bad cuts later and I have a framework up on the wall and my first sheet of plywood up (with tar paper and all). Soon I'll be able to start hanging up tools!

Still need to add some more lights and a subpanel for more power and the welder!
Plan is to lay down a framework of 2x4's on the ground after the walls done then fill and level between them with gravel. I have some 1" plywood that I'll screw into the 2x4's and no more lying in the gravel!

Couple pictures of my new wall!

thems some fantastic pictures dude.

don't they give you a better camera phone than that at that rimjob company?
guess Ballsillie really is hurtin, being the last guy trying to flog phones with gay little buttons. :flipoff2:

And with the barn, the trick is to make it look like it's supposed to be crooked, gravity is only a theory...

Just make it so damn crooked no one will believe you were trying to make it straight...works great on boats ..:hillbilly:

you can pour a decent little slab of cement with a mixer and 2x4's and old car parts, it's how I did that back section of my shop.
trouble is, it's hard to drink enough beer to make the job not suck, but it does turn out ok.

Makes it easier to find the s*** you drop...

Starting to come together...

Got the floors down walls in and started sorting through boxes and unpacking tools...

Figured I'd hang some basics on the wall and pickup a couple tool boxes later... A heater is higher on the priority list at the moment...

Just the idea of having a floor and a roof while working on the cruiser is great!

Work benches are comming up soon too...
