Some people have no respect for quality equipment.

Indeed! I can foresee lots of replacements parts are needed. It will be fun to bring it back to perfect running and working condition. Thinking about some cloth seat replacement now, probably have to come from out of the country. May be my supplier can throw a set in for me! Will see....

Engine was burn up, owner put a 02 Engine with 135k miles in, did not finish the transplant, odo reads 266k. Been sitting for few years, got tired of it and decided to sell it, literally giving it away. My wife will consider it junk, but treasure to me. I will hate myself for it if I do not get it. Lots of rehab work needed. At least it can be my demo truck.
Are there signs that thing has ever been under water? With the door panels and carpet that filthy?

Nice find. Here’s another one near Baltimore if anyone else is feeling inspired:
98 land cruiser

Black ‘98 LC with 118k. Needs a front diff and a fender...$1800

Nah, been sitting since 2011 with sunroof not completely shut and driver window down loosely covered with plastic sheet!

After playing with it for a bit, found engine crank ( not sure if it starts as I have not put the ignition coils on yet ), headlamp, tail lamp, interior lamp, dash light turn on, radio works, both power seats work, all power door lock works, all power window works, brake booster turn on as usual, relays clicks, but engine light did not light up when key is turn gotta find out if any fuses were blown.

Complete sprayed down with vinegar to kill off mold helps a lot with the smell!! Also vacumn and clean up all the junk and removed all seats. Found lots of coins, pen, screws, hair bands, roaches, etc!!! Will replace all seats, carpets, door trim panel, center console, seat belts, and dash pad. Deciding either Lexus interior swap or Landcruiser interior swap. Found a 2007 LC interior in good shape, Will cost $1400 :mad:for all 3 rows seat, carpet, 4 door panels and center console, shipping is high. Found some good deal on Lexus seats but not complete. Will call another yard tomorrow seems like they have a low mile 2005 LX with excellent interior. May replace headliner as well, it looks pretty clean.

Following are the items needed for sure:
New Depo 1 piece headlamp
03+ Grille
Hood Struts
New suspension
New CV shafts both left and right
90k Maintenance items
New brake rotors and pads
All Fluid.
New tires and 18" Tundra wheel
Radiator Shroud ( Broken with missing piece)
New Master remote keys ( No master key, bummer, probably will be flashing the EEPROM and program new key )
New Steering Wheel, shifter knob
New Windshield
Remove wood trim
Engine top cover
Air intake tube
Install cabin filter assembly
Air filter
Fuel filter
May need rack & pinion as well
Sunvisors

Due to the unknown maintenance history and the condition the LC is, will replace wheel bearings, possibly brake booster, alternator and starter as preventive. Will decides if upper & lower control arms ball joints and bushing needs replacement once it runs.

Shame someone would neglect a nice vehicle as this.
Just throwing a $4.00 Harbor Freight tarp over the Sunroof likely would have saved the interior.

@reevesci May have a vinyl floor kit available if thats up your alley....

Bless you sir. Lol. I wouldn't have had the stomach for that one. Anxious to see it resurrected! Good on ya.

That's the most neglected/abused one I've ever seen. Hands down.

I see a parts car in ramma's future. I want to know how this one comes out as well.

All 3 rows seats, center console, rear mirror, complete carpet off a 2006 LC was delivered few months ago, dash board here, new steering wheel is in the box waiting patiently. Bumpers, fender are sourced, DEPO headlamp, LED tail lamp, Genuine Toyota snorkel on its way along with all new window belt molding, weatherstrips and endless list of Genuine parts...…...

I know this has been slow, baby steps at a time, been super busy. But good thing this is a project. Will get interior clean up next and replace the dashboard. Original dashboard is sun burn in the middle, so decided to replace it.

Sorry ramma, I should have been clearer. I meant a parts car for this truck, not this truck as a parts car...

No problem =) Thought about it, but my wife will kill me if I bring back another cruiser. I have an 80 sitting as well, nothing wrong but I usually drive the Sienna van with kids or the 570, got the 570 for wife. The 80 is built for offroad just not kids friendly at all compare to the van.
