I have an M416 which I loved building, so when i saw a Bantam on CL locally for cheapish, I jumped on it for a project.

It was really sad looking, and had some interesting "fab work" going on....



So I started stripping paint and cutting off all the crap that someone thought they were improving it with.

I really like the home made pintle hitch that they just cut so they could bent it. Classy.

And this is where I am right now. Steps and bumper are pretty much done. Tailgate is done, needs some caps welded on and some clean up still, plus latches.

I am debating doing tube fenders for it since the original round ones are pretty beat.

Hopefully I can get a lid knocked out this week, and then get it ready for paint. Not going to go crazy with it, but I do want it to look nice.
