Are u in the 4 runner and are u kidding on the AT's?
35" BFG AT's is what is on my rig. As far as AT's go they are great tires but they are still AT's.

yeah the same 4runner. and no im not kidding. 35 bfg ats. Im interested to see how they do. Ive had them for years and I run them on the winter (I hate bias ply flat spots, and most of my tires have had no sipes and they get scary in the snow). Plus there is still a big part of me that want to run a 37"-40" radial mud terrain again.

your pit bulls are bias ply?

your pit bulls are bias ply?

Of course. So were my SX's and my TSL's....

Bias is UNBEATABLE offroad, but it leaves a bit to be desired on road. Dont get me wrong I still think the pitbull is the best bias ply on the road. But some times I think it would be fun to not shake, wobble, go deaf, vibrate, wander, hydroplane....things like that.

And you mean to say all of that is boring!?

I wheeled my first 2 years on BFG ATs not bad at all. But I still like a MT better. Can't wait to drool all over the 40 Tom.

No im getting board of wheeling the same damn trails and I figured if I threw on the at's it might get sporty:D

Plus the long drive down and back should be nice!

So how was the weekend? Any pics?

Ive got no pics. But I will say the BFG at's were a blast. It forced me to really think about the lines I took.

My first time to wheel with out a camera, sorry. Wish I could of camped, would of been great drinkin beer around the campfire weather.
I enjoyed my 40 even more that I thought I would!! Anybody wanna buy a nicely outfitted 62?

"Anybody wanna buy a nicely outfitted 62?"

You can't be serious.

Tom. You & Daryl left so quick I didn't get a chance to tell you how awesome the 40 was. I was totally diggin it. Gonna stay a 3rd pedal jockey? That rig will be completely awesome with lockers & tires. I call first dibs on your old BFG ATs. Great wheelin with ya.

Where the hell are the pics? Jeeze!!!:D

Thanks Tony! I'm hooked more than ever!
Right now I can't see eliminating the third pedal. I really enjoyed it because of the low first gear in the SM465.....let the clutch out and work with the "go" pedal. The lockers and tires will probably be in by the next time I see you.

Gappy,

I'm happy to hear you are liking the 40! I want to see some wheeling pictures. Hope all of the work on the ARB's is coming along as well!

Hi Scott, Thanks for checking in. I hope to have some pics in a couple weeks. I got side tracked with some health issues with my Dad. I still hope to be "done" and on the trails 12/6.

hey Tom welcome to the 40 world! Can't wait to see it at TFT!

Brian
