So I'm stranded now on my way to work, and typing this on my phone. My alternator is no longer charging my battery, it worked fine yesterday. Halfway to work my stereo died and shortly after the truck started sputtering and then died. I used my jumpstart battery and the truck powers up fine. I disconnect the jumper battery and check the main battery with my volt meter and I'm getting nothing from the alternator. Where should I look first? All connections to the battery/alternator/starter are good. The fusible links are less than a year old and all my fuses under the hood are still intact.
