So, as I continue to figure out the options on my 66lv. This is what I do know...(it is a short list compared to the list of what I don't know at this point.)
1. I acquired fj60 axles...knuckles won't work on the 66.
2. Using these fj60 axles would require two things if installed under axle....1) outboard spring perches and 2) get a set of backset rims made to fit tires into rear of lv.
3. Acquiring newer fj40 axles seems more difficult than I thought.

Has anyone had old-style rims custom made with extra backset, so I can fit 33 x 10.5s in the rear on my lv and use the fj60 axles? Need an extra 1.5" each side.

Also, will this backset fit with the discs and steering arms up front?

yes but i gave you the info in the email I sent you maybe it did not get through I sent it in a reply to a ih8mud email you sent
Anyway I had OEM disk brake hub capped wheels widened by Stockton Wheel to 8"x16 (if I were you I would only go to 7") and they have 5.25" of back spacing. vs. the 3.5" stock bs. i also changed them to 16" wheels thus allowing me to run the work truck line of tires
on the front axle you would not have to change the perches on the fj60 axle but would have to outboard the shackle and pin hangers. but on the rear axle you just have to cut off the rear perches and weld on new perches the spring hanger/spring pins stay the same.
on my lv I used a fj60 axle in the rear and a 78 fj40 disk brake axle with a sky widening kit mini truck hubs and 4runner calipers that way I kept the stock perches and shackle and spring pin mounts.
my tires are 32.7 and I run 4" of lift with no rubbing issues. tires sit under the truck perfectly
