Shop says the rear backing plates are pretty rusted out on my 2008 160k and need replacing, which doesn't surprise me a ton. That said, OEM parts seem to be the only option, and they come in at a whopping $370 for each plate. That's a lot of cheddar.

That said, has anyone seen any aftermarket options. Alternatively, any chance a Tundra plate would work?

While the part may be 370, the replacement of them will likely run the bill up over 3k. It is not simply a bolt on installation. Lots if info here on mud about them. Last I recall, tundra ones may fit but i'm not sure anyone has attempted to use them yet.

contact Brian Jowett, he is the what will cross fit guru. he also may have a line on discounted parts.
he is on here @bjowett .

If they are not rusted down to nothing, you should be able to disassemble the rear axle, blast the parts, have a shop fix them up, and re-powder them for a whole lot less than $700.
