axle consensus: camber or not?

I'm working on a small trailer and have to decide on axle camber. spring center is 42" and hub face is 60". Trailer LOADED will be no more than 1200lbs, on a 3500 lb axle. I would expect a no camber axle would be preferable, but with the spindles hanging out that far from the springs I'm not so sure. Any thoughts?

So roughly 9" of cantilever and only 600 lbs applied per side of an axle rated for almost 3 times that per side. I don't see much of a problem unless your friends call you "Captain Air Time" and you're known for your short duration flights.

indeed , does not sound that dubious to me. Seems like there is a decent safety margin.
Plus, if you're like me and some other folks, trailer tires end up bad often because of age not wear, so a bit of uneven wear may not be a big deal in the big picture. And if the axle bends permanently, well you can always rotate it 180deg every year or so...
I also like straight axles cuz you do switch between SoA and SuA more easily.

(You can always call the tech support at the axle manufacturer and ask what the rating would be with 9" of cantilever?)

Thanks for the input. I had also thought about half-camber, but ended up ordering a straight tube.
