AXLE COMPATIBILITY (93 US AXLES GOIN ON '90 HDJ81)

Sorry if this has already been covered. I tried to search but couldnt find the previous thread that had some info.

I have a 1990 HDJ81 unlocked, but have the opportunity to purchase front and rear oem locked axles from a US '93 donor truck. Are these 100% plug and play? I believe I read somewhere that the track bar isnt the same location or something? I could be wrong...

I would love to use the 93 brakes front and rear as well since they are larger on front and rear.

Panhard bracket and steering arms are going to be mirror image from RHD to LHD I believe. It's doable with some fab/welding but not plug and play as far as I know.

Is your rear full float?

@ikarus thanks, thats exactly the info i remember reading about but couldnt confirm. I was hoping it was plug and play but oh well.


My setup is full float with LSD. Actually handles pretty well on some technical stuff, but wouldn mind having lockers. e locker is still in the maybe pile.
