Axel will not come out

Title says it all
Long side will not come out . It is not broken it moves all around but will not come out. The short side was fine getting out . Could the knuckle ball be bent,I don't want to start banging on it with a big hammer yet. I have done this many times on my landcruisers and never had a problem even when they were broke. This is just odd or am I missing something

Sure you have the flats aligned with the housing? Mine had to be 'just right' or no go. Also might try lossening the upper/lower bearing caps. Might be assembled wrong.

Yes I did line up the 2 flats . ,but I will try again. I will also eventually remove the hysteer. Could it be the top bearing? Don't really know how that would effect the axel unless it was really installed wrong

If the bearings are shimmed wrong, it changes the pressure on the knucle ball. Squeezes it. Might be the problem. Quality rebuild should fix it.

Well I loosened up the bolts for the bearing and the axel came out fairly easy. It had 2 shims on this side as well as the short side. I don't think the axel is bent,maybe I need to add or get a bigger shim. This is going to be trial and error . I plan on ordering the bigger seals from marlin and some other stuff. I am this far so I'm gonna take out the third member and see what kind of gears I have in there. Any other thoughts let me know.
