Auxiliary Lights

In Australia the only KC HiLiTES Daylighter is 100W and only available in Stainless Steel. Which would make it this.
The price is not too bad at $297.00 compared to the American Price of US$201.47 = $231.15

I've dealt with 4WD1.biz on three occasions in the past and they've been alright to deal with. But are there better Lights available, such as these?

i have used and intalled for many customers the KC daylighters. no experince with the Roos.

I really was impressed with the KC's. has a rugged mount, all the wire and connections, relay, and switch required. but it includes the wire taps which i am strongly against. i always hard wire connections and never take what i call 'tweeker shortcuts' by using those taps.

the KC's are very bright and have a clear broad spot.

i have also installed IPF lights. i was very dissapointed and so was my customer with the results. infact they were installed next to the KC's, and just plain sucked. and to add salt to the wound, the IPF's were much more expensive.

Also i have installed many different flavors of Hella Lights.
my all time favorite is the Hella 500. it uses a H-3 bulb. the kit comes with a 55W lamp. but i run a 130W lamp and upgrade the wires. on my truck, i have dubbed them my flame throwers.

one of the glass lenses broke when somone backed thier 2WD truck into my truck.
but even with a broken lens and dirty reflector it still works well enuff not to replace it.
obviously it is no longer as effective as the undamaged one, but is still impressive.

might want to contact Six States they have aircraft landing lights which are housed in rubber, have a stainless mount, and a 100W lamp.
compact, in expensive, and use the chassis as ground, so only one wire to connect.

:D
