Autohome rooftop tents & tall people?

I'm 6'3" tall and am considering purchasing an Autohome tent. I've narrowed it down to the Maggiolina or the Columbus - probably in the medium size. (Ultimately, I'd like to get a tent that will accommodate two up top - and not have to order a large size and sleep on an angle.)

The standard length measurement for most of the Autohome RTTs ~ 83" (I'm assuming that's an outside measurement), and I know from their website that I could special order a Columbus Variant in X Long (adds 8" in length).

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on whether a Maggiolina can fit a taller person - or whether the X Long Columbus is my only real option from Autohome?

I am about your height (6'2).
Owned a technitop (86" long). I would no be comfortable with the standard size Columbus or Maggiolina length wise.
Ordered an Xlong small Columbus. BTW, the small Columbus is the same width as the Technitop, which I find ample and very comfortable for two people (myself and my 5'7" girlfriend).

I own a Eezi awn and although im only 5' 9"
On a recent Zion trip with some friends including Randy88FJ62 who I think is 6'7" was able to sleep in there with no issues...

We got the 1800 series 3....

Its pricey but worth every penny...

I have a Maggiolina, am 6', and only use it solo, as to stretch out I have to be lying crosswise in order to not hit the raising mechanisms.

I'd second the EA tents for taller folks.

Thanks for the feedback - very helpful. Unless I want to order an X Long Columbus, it looks like I need to get back into research mode. I'll start with the EA tents - sounds like a great option.

Spoke to Mike at Autohome today. Turns out that they are getting in some X Long sizes in the Columbus as well as the Maggiolina. Rather than the standard 83" length - the X Long for both tents is 91." Anyway, just wanted to update the thread.

late to the party, but yes, the Maggiolina Safari is now available in XL in both small and medium sizes. We had on on display at the OverLand Expo in Prescott. I have a bunch of both Columbus and Maggiolina XL on order and they should arrive in about 5 weeks.

Tha mattress on the standard Maggiolina (small and medium) is just over 6 feet long. In the Xl it is 6' 8" long. Lots of tall people will be happy with these tents.
