my new to me ‘06 LC100 doesn’t seem to have functional auto tilt mirrors when shifted into reverse. Yes I tried moving the mirror switch in all three positions, so I don’t think it’s user error. Is there a fuse to check or any other potential place to troubleshoot?

Me too. I'll add that in my situation, the driver's side mirror doesn't go up and down in mine. When we got the rig in December the passenger side auto-tilt worked. Now it doesn't despite that mirror functioning properly otherwise. Thanks in advance!

Auto-tilt mirrors might've been LX only.

@100serieslover Middle position on the selector disables auto-tilt on the LX.

Good to know. I'll check the position when I'm in it next. Thanks!

Mine are sporadic as well, sometimes get stuck down if I use them so I just keep them off. It seems a common issue with these as they age.

I was able to fix sporadic operation and occasional ECU B2 fuse blowing on reverse (with auto dip enabled) by popping off the mirror glasses and cleaning out the dry, caked up lithium grease then relubricating the gimble. You can also lighten the tension on the retaining spring washers to help the dip motors out a bit. Here’s the TSB I followed to pop the glass off.

So it's actually a separate motor that handles the auto-tilt function? it seems to me that it would simply use the mirror adjustment motor no? I guess that's my primary point of confusion - if i can adjust mirrors without issue, the lack of auto-tilt implies an electrical rather than mechanical problem

There are two motors, a horizontal and a vertical. I was addressing the post talking about sporadic operation, if yours don’t auto tilt but tilt when manually driven then you’d have to look at the ECU if 06 LCs have the auto dip in reverse feature.
