Audio question. HU powered doors + sub amp? OR 5CH amp for all speakers?

I have a 2000 LC with factory "premium audio":

I'd like to upgrade the HU to a Sony xav-9000es (20W RMS x 4 4ohm) and replace all the factory speakers. For the rear sub I'd like to retain the factory location and replace the two factory 4" 2ohm speakers with two 4" Dayton Audio 4ohm speakers.

Option 1: Use the new HU to power the door speakers then add a 1CH amp under the front passenger seat to power the rear subs. - Wiring: use a "Metra amp bypass harness" to connect the HU to the factory door speaker wires under the passenger seat. Sub signal from new HU to new 1CH amp via new RCA run. New amp power wire from battery to amp.

Option 2: Install new 5 channel amp under passenger seat to power all speakers. - Wiring: Signal via RCAs from new HU to new amp. Use existing factory speaker wire runs. New amp power wire from battery to amp.

Which option is best? Is it a bad idea to use the existing factory speaker wires?

Any 6.5" speaker or amp recommendations?

Thanks!
