AttN HDJ81 RHD diesel owners or sellers

I have a friend who has recently become very interested in buying one of these landcruisers.
so he was wondering if anyone in the club or locally in the lower mainland / fraser valley would allow him to come and take one for a spin. Also if you have any buying advice on these vehicles it would be greatly appreciated.

I have owned one now for some time, as have 2 friends of mine. Best advice is to research....spend a lot of time on this board....read the JDM section. They are great trucks but money "saved" up front = a lot of headaches later. You might be able to import one yourself but there are huge risks. Outback has great units which are more or less turnkey and NOT cheap. I'd also check with Luxury imports and see if they have any 81's. Above all do not rush into a purchase. There are some fair deals on trucks people have grown frustrated with, BUT - get it checked BEFORE dropping $ by someone who knows these trucks - Ciaran Wilson and his shop or Ateb are good places to go. (ATEB also does all Outback's servicing for their service pack.)
